Kelly Minor - LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Florida State University

I am passionate about counseling & helping people develop the skills and self-assurance they need to take control of their lives.  I address not only day to day struggles, but the feelings, beliefs and expectations that underlie them. I believe this is the key to bringing about positive, lasting change.  By exploring these core issues and learning new tools to deal with them, genuine satisfaction and fulfillment will occur in your life & your relationships. I am an advocate of positive psychology and strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic approaches. I believe individuals are capable of solving life’s problems on their own, using the tools they learn in therapy

My specialties include: Anxiety, depression, grief & loss, coping with childhood trauma & self-esteem issues.  I work primarily with adults; however, I have expertise working with children of all ages. I am a down-to-earth professional with over twenty years of professional & personal experience.  I am a qualified licensure supervisor for both MHC/MSW candidates. I was a clinical trainer for a major health plan. I have also taught parenting classes & trained others in Motivational Interviewing. I find great joy in watching the positive potential in people come to life.
