Tanya Thompson - LCSW

Introduction

Have you ever found yourself feeling down, sad, hopeless and/or irritable?

Have you ever found yourself feeling anxious or overwhelmed?

Have you had trouble sleeping due to feeling anxious or having racing thoughts?

Have you found yourself feeling grief due to a loss of a loved one or due to a loss of independence due to aging, loss of a partner due to divorce or break-up loss of a job due to retirement?

Have you ever found yourself struggling due to having a deeply disturbing experience and then being plagued with constant memories or thoughts of that experience afterwards?

If you are dealing depression, anxiety, grief/loss, or trauma, I would love the opportunity to help you. I use a cognitive-behavioral approach, taking into consideration issues you deal with in your family of origin. I am certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. I am also trained in internal family systems therapy which is also used to treat trauma. The therapy room is a place where you will share your story and where we will work together to come up with the best treatment for you. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and in the power of the work we can do together to help you conquer your challenges.
